Beverly Lewis Amish Book Review

The Bridesmaid by Beverly Lewis is the third in the Home to Hickory Hollow series. The interesting part of this series is it mentions characters from her first series The Heritage of Lancaster County. I love when authors bring back well loved characters in other series. Makes the stories seem real. :-)

Joanna Kurtz is still single at twenty-four, and her sister, Cora Jane, warns her that if she keeps on being a bridesmaid she'll never get married. Joanna and her family taveled to Virginia Beach for her Great Uncle's funeral, and while there on the beach she contemplated what her sister had told her. But while she was writing in her journal she saw an Amish man taking pictures of the ocean. He noticed her and introduced himself as Eben Troyer from Indianna. They spent the next day together having a blast. When it came time to leave each other, they exchanged addresses. As they correspond she begins to fall in love with him.

Eben Troyer wants to move to Pennsylvania to be with Joanna, but since his younger brother left for the world he has to stay and help his Dad with the farm. Will his brother come back so Eben is free to love Joanna? Would Joanna be willing to move from her beloved home?

I loved this story! One of her best, I think. :-)
