Historical Fiction Review

Love in Disguise by Carol Cox was really good! At first I was like mehhh I don't know, but it very quickly turned into ohhhh this is good! And funny!

Ellie Moore's dream is to be an actress, but then she suddenly finds herself without her job as a wardrobe and hair assistant leaving her without a way to move her dream forward. Out of luck finding a theatre job, she overhears two men on the street talking about how they need another woman detective. She manages to convince the men at the Pinkerton Agency to hire her as an operative.

So off Ellie goes to Pickford, Arizona to figure out who is stealing all the silver from the miners. She ends up disguising herself as not only an old lady, but a very pretty, young lady in her quest for information. It becomes quite a balancing act especially when she meets one of the miners, Steven Pierce.

Can Ellie figure out who is behind all the silver thefts before Steven has to give up his mine?

I loved this book! Ellie was so interesting and funny. It was an enjoyable read for sure. :-)

I was given this book free as long as I review it.
