Mostly Baby

Ben had Thursday off so we went out for the day. It was sooo fun! We went to the commissary first so we could get the grocery stuff done and just enjoy the rest of the day. We went to Hobby so I could get a couple things, and then we decided to go to Temple instead of watching a movie. I got to go to Hancock Fabrics!!! So fun! Then we went to Chili's and just relaxed and talked so I could recoup and get some energy for Michael's. I finally got the paper I needed to finish papering the kitchen in the dollhouse! It was nice just to look around in Michaels. I hadn't been there in a looong time. :-) When we got home, Ben had to mow the lawn. Then I got super sick. I was so nauseated and couldn't flush my tube well b/c it was really hard to push. The liquid Phenergan finally kicked in. I was just so sick.... It was not fun. BUT I had a great day with Ben. :-) I love him so much!!!

Here's a pic of what I wore on Thursday. I forgot to get some of us together. And I was too sick to get some later on. So I'm 28 weeks exactly in this pic.

So I painted Peter Rabbit!!! I started him yesterday and finished him today! Soooo happy he is finished. Now I just have to draw out the other two to complete the set. :-) Oh, he is in watecolor.
Here it is.

I have some sewing projects I need to work on. I got the fabric for the grocery cart cover at a great price at Hobby Lobby. It was a remnant of the exact fabric I wanted! Anyway, I need to do that. I have a couple more things to do/finish.

I'm working on a banner for someone. I'm hoping to get it out in the mail by Monday.

I have a provider to help me with stuff since Charity is leaving. She is super nice! She's a Christian, too. I am so thankful to have someone now! Especially since Ben is working so much lately it will help me and him a lot for me to be able to get some things done during the day.

I have an ultrasound to check the baby's growth on Wednesday. They just want to make sure he is still growing well b/c I'm not showing/measuring very big. :-)

I got some gifts in the mail from Aaron and his girlfirend! Several things from my Target registry. I am so excited about it! Then I got a box from Cathy which was cool b/c the boys picked out an outfit for him. :-D Too fun. ;-) Oh, and Mom sent me the crib bumper! I just have to stitch in the ditch. And she sent a few adorable baby things. It's been baby week over here. ;-) Plus, my case manager picked something up for him when she was on vacation. Whenever I see her next, I will see what she got him. Also we got this cool 3D popup card from Ben's parents. It is so cute! It even has a crib with a mobile! Anyway, they gave us some money so we ordered a 4-in-1 crib, high chair (well, it's a booster high chair), and a convertible car seat. The car seat is on backorder so I'm hoping we can get it! They said if they don't get it within ten days they will reimburse us, and we will have to try again. Weird. Anyway, I'm hoping to get a mattress and the diaper sprayer, too. Thanks to everybody for all the gifts!!!

I got my diploma from my writing school!!! Sometime next week I'm going to edit my last story and send it on out. It's a mystery.

My skin is still red around my j-tube so my j-tube nurse gave me some powder that dries andmakes a barrier between my skin and my tube. Hopefully, it will stop the irritation and get better. :-)

I think that's all the news for now. Have a great day everyone!

Hi Maria. You don't know me but I met your Mom while shopping and it turns out you and I have the same disease, Charcot-Marie-Tooth. She gave me your blog address. I am just now starting to go through some of the things you have already gone through with the CMT such as feeding tube and things and it's a very hard journey for me. I though it might help to talk to someone that knows what it's like. Anyway, I hear you're going to have a baby and congrats to you. I hope this letter finds you and your family doing well. God Bless you. Take care.

Wanda

P.S. I see you're quite a talented artist too. You do beautiful work. My hands won't cooperate well enough for me to attempt things like that. Keep it up.
