Let's Learn About Psalms 23 by Catherine Devries explains what it means to be a shepherd and who is our Good Shepherd. It's written interactively throughout the story and near the end my son was answering the questions. He really enjoyed the story.
Jackson is on the farm with Grandpa and Grandma taking care of chores when a storm comes rolling in. His Grandpa, with the help of his dog, herd the sheep safely into the barn while Jackson watches snug and safe in the house. Jackson is scared of the storm, but Grandma explains that God always takes care of us during the storms. Comforted, Jackson helps his Grandma until Grandpa comes back.
This story is a great addition to your library because it explains very well to a child how God takes of us during the many storms in our lives. My son was intrigued with this book from the beginning, and I'm happy he liked it. At the end, you can read Psalms 23 to your child just like Grandpa was reading to Jackson. :-)
