Review: God Gave Us Sleep

God Gave Us Sleep  by Lisa Tawn Bergren is another installment in her series of books for children explaining things like Christmas, Easter, and heaven. I was excited to see a book on sleep because as every parent knows kids don't like to sleep! So I tested this book out with my little guy. ;-)

This is a sweet, well-written story explaining the importance of sleep to little ones. It's the perfect bedtime read filled with adorable illustrations. My son really enjoyed this book especially the part about the little cub making excuses before bed. ;-) He kept giggling throughout that part. I think he was a little confused when the cub didn't sleep well because it wasn't explained very well. I had to explain it so he could keep following the story. But other than that, it was a great story about  why sleep is important.

Oh, a note for Kindle readers! It's really not the best on the Kindle because you have to make the pictures big each time which can be frustrating to little ones. I would recommend buying the print version instead.

I was given this book for free from Waterbrook Multnomah in exchange for an honest review.
