Once Upon A Prince by Rachel Hauck is the first book in The Royal Wedding series It's a contemporary fairy tale full of lovable characters and a romance fit for a king. ;-) I especially liked the Christian aspect in this story. It was just so refreshing and inspiring. Now I can't wait to read her next book in the series!
Susanna Truitt's life has not been going according to the plan she mapped out years ago. First her boyfriend of twelve years broke up with her saying they never really loved each other, and then she quits her job to start her own landscape architect business. Her life is in shambles, but the one bright spot is the evening she met Nate Kenneth under Lover's Oak. She is attracted to him from the beginning but thinks it's only rebound syndrome. But as he is always there helping and rescuing her, it's hard to convince herself of it. Then she discovers some discouraging news. Nate wasn't who she thought he was. He was a Prince!
Brighton's Prince Nathaniel is vacationing on St. Simons Island where he meets the lovely Susanna. He wants to get to know her better but is constrained by a two hundred year law requiring royals in line for the throne to marry Brightonians only. Nate is angry and conflicted. Does God really want him to be king or is it just because of his lineage that he is a prince? As Nate battles with his desire and doubts to abdicate the throne, his father dies forcing him to leave Georgia and Susanna behind. He is left with one burning question - should a King abandon his people for the sake of love?
I loved this book! It was so nice to read a good, clean love story set in the modern world. Perfect for your summer reading list and to take to the beach. So grab your beach bag, curl your toes into the sand, and dive into a royal romance!
I was given this book free from Booksneeze in exchange for an honest review.
