The News

I painted this banner for my case manager as a thank you gift for all the help she constantly gives me. :-) She is so sweet. Anyway, she loved it. It's the colors in her house, but I also added red in b/c it is her favorite color and purple b/c it is her 2nd favorite. It was funny cuz she is hanging it in her office!!! LOL So I guess I didn't have to match her house decor after all. ;-)

The baby's first outfit!!! I saw it at Target and loved it.... :-) Isn't it too cute???

I know this is blurry, but my hands are always shaking with cameras. lol I thought you could see the baby bump well, though.

And a non-blurry one. :-D

I thought I had taken a couple pics of the July 4th table, but I didn't. It was the same as last year anyway. lol On the day of, I did add a July 4th table runner and pot holder. I made a homemade apple pie so I put that on the pot holder. I even made homemade crust for the pie! It looked so good and smelled so cinnamony. We had typical fare: hamburgers, hotdogs, homemade baked beans, homemade succotash, and I made chocolate cupcakes for the kids. Ben and I babysat three kids that day. The oldest boy was 6, the girl was almost 3, and the youngest was 1. They were all so well behaved and easy to watch. I was feeling pretty tired by the time they went home so w couldn't go to fireworks, BUT we got to watch them from our front porch!!! A nice gift from God. Made my day. :-) It can be so hard to do what you know is better for your health sometimes, and then you get this wonderful blessing you were expecting.

So we will be moving December 11th probably. It's official, and I'm so glad!!! Just as a warning, though we won't be going home for Christmas. It will be hard enough to go across half the country with a baby, a freaked out dog, and my health. But we will have plenty of oppurtunities to go home so it's not that big of a deal. I'm also planning on getting Christmas gifts really early this year so I don't have anything to worry about when the baby is here. Plus, I already have lists of what we are taking, the hotels that accept dogs along the way, and some paperwork for when we get there. :-) I'm such a planner. lol

As far as the pregnancy goes, my heart rate has been getting faster as expected so I have had to rest more. There's really nothing else I can do. So my breathing has been worse b/c of it. The OB doesn't want to up my medicine unless I stay consistently high which is fine with me. My pain keeps escalating, and I really wish it would stop. lol I see my neurologist on the 26th so I'll be talking to him about going back on my meds.... I really don't want to, but it might be for the best. We'll see what he says. I've been really dizzy and having really bad headaches every day. The OB thinks I'm getting dehydrated so I'm trying to drink more which doesn't always go too well so I'm flushing my j-tube with more water on those days. The baby moves more now than he did.

That's about all the news for now. :-)

EDIT: http://apps.facebook.com/chasecommunitygiving/charities/233092178-gastroparesis-patient-association-for-cures-and-treatments-inc

If you are on facebook, please vote for G-PACT!!! We need this money to increase awareness of gastroparesis which is partial paralyzation of the stomach. It's a horrible disease that led to me being on TPN (IV nutrition) for 2 years, and now I'm on a j-tube that bypasses my stomach and goes directly into my small intestine. It has robbed me of the joy of eating and drinking. When I do eat my "safe" foods, I am still left with pain and nausea and feeling full for hours or days at a time. The one drug we can use in the US, most of us can't even take b/c of the bad side effects. Please please vote so we can live a relatively normal life again! Thanks. :-)

YAAAY BABY BUMP PICTURES!!! Made my day. I'm so glad things are working out the way you'd hoped (except getting back on meds of course) We'll keep on praying. It's a good thing you be traveling with a new baby: he'll mostly just sleep and eat the whole way! :D Expect a box from Aunt Meg soon with more cute outfits!

I can't wait to see the baby in that red suit. It is so exciting when you are having a baby. I'm glad you will be moving closer so I can spoil him just a little.

Awesome pics of you two!! I loved the feeling when they moved but it kinda made me feel sick too--but you get used to it. You'll be in our prayers as you make med decisions. Wow, traveling with a dog- you are BRAVE!
